Grant Balcke

Director of Player Performance

Grant Balcke from Australia brings the IJGA team 15 years of teaching experience across three continents. Before coaching, Grant played as an NCAA Division I golfer at the University of Southern Mississippi. Following graduation, he went on to coach at the National Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia, as part of the Australia PGA Education system. Grant also worked as a Junior Development Manager and eventually became the owner of the Asian Golf Institute Keppel Club in Singapore. Some notable students he’s instructed include professional golfers Morgan Hoffman, Shanshan Feng, Yani Tseng, Lydia Ko, Ariya, and Moriya Jutanugarn. When Grant isn’t golfing, he’s spending quality time with his family and kids.  What’s your greatest asset/area of expertise?  I believe that in the development of junior athletes. There needs to be technical proficiency in order of strategy and mental and personal performance. What’s your favorite part of working at IJGA?  I enjoy the constant challenge and how the game blends numerous skill sets together into one sport. I wanted to come to IJGA so I could assist elite junior players and aid them in developing as players and people.
