A new student at IJGA is already making waves.
Paloma Ibarra, a 15-year-old from Saltillo, Mexico, confidently excels through all obstacles. Last weekend in The Legends Open in Clermont, FL, she shot a stellar nine under, winning by 15 points!
With some good work the week before with mental performance consultant Bill Nelson, whom Allison Corpus credited when she won the U.S. Woman’s Open at Pebble Beach this summer, Paloma felt fully prepared for this event. She scored 67 in Round 1, her best score yet, something she found a sense of accomplishment in.
After nearly three months at the academy, Paloma explained that having more time to practice and easier access to expert coaches, mental performance consultants, and fitness instructors has helped her immensely.
The built-in routine has allowed her to understand the importance of time management in balancing the academics and sports of an elite junior golfer.

The IJGA team is excited about Paloma’s success. Soon, she’ll be featured in several Saltillo news articles for her accomplishments thus far.
