Paloma Ibarra Ambia claimed a remarkable victory at the inaugural JUNGLE Gaby López AJGA Pathway event, finishing with a total score of 212, four under par, to beat fellow IJGA student Romina Palmeros into second place.
Championship Highlights
This win marks another success in recent months, following her victory at the Optimist Junior Championship in late July, as well as a win and two second-place finishes in the NXXT College Pathway events over the summer, and a playoff loss in Chile in late August.
Her remarkable consistency is a testament to her talent, which has seen her jump from a ranking of 2,250 in the WAGR one year ago to now rank 702.
Baylor Commitment
Earlier this month, Paloma visited Baylor University, one of the top women’s college golf programs in the nation, and she has now officially committed to join them in January 2026. This milestone marks the next exciting chapter in her journey!
