2025 Optimist International Junior Golf Championship

IJGA student Paloma Ibarra Ambia delivered a dominant performance at the 2025 Optimist International Junior Golf Championship, held July 25–30 at Trump National Doral Resort & Spa in Miami.

Just one week after winning a NXXT Junior Tour event, Paloma went wire-to-wire at one of the most prestigious junior tournaments in the world.

Paloma posted rounds of 73 (+1), 71 (–1), and 73 (+2) to finish at +2 overall, winning the tournament by a commanding eight shots!

The first two rounds were held on the Red Tiger Course (Par 71), where she separated herself from the field with a second-round 71— the only under-par round recorded during the entire championship.

She closed out her win on the Golden Palm Course (Par 72) with another composed and steady round.

Paloma’s win at one of junior golf’s most esteemed international events highlights her growth, composure, and elite potential. We’re incredibly proud of her performance and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!

Paloma’s success reflects IJGA’s commitment to building champions through world-class training, elite coaching, and a supportive environment that pushes athletes to reach their full potential.
