We proudly announce that IJGA alumni Hiroshi Tai won the individual title at the NCAA D1 Championship in Carlsbad, CA.
Hiroshi attended the Bishops Gate Golf Academy, now IJGA, and graduated with the class of 2020. After graduation, he completed two years of military service in his home country of Singapore, delaying his start at Georgia Tech until 2022.
Overcoming Challenges
Last year, in his freshman year, Georgia Tech made it to the team finals. Hiroshi battled the NCAA champion that year, Fred Biondi, losing on the 18th hole.
As a sophomore, Hiroshi held off strong challenges this year to secure his victory.
Achieving Long-Held Goals
Looking back at a video Hiroshi made when he was 15 years old, he stated that his goals were to play golf at a D1 college with strong academics. He has achieved these goals at Georgia Tech, successfully balancing athletic and academic commitments.
The vast majority of IJGA students go on to play golf at the college level, and Hiroshi is a fantastic example of this success.

We’re also proud of the good showings by fellow IJGA alums! University of Florida Jack Turner (T23) and University of Arizona Filip Jakubcik (T31), were both the low players on their teams.
