Although IJGA have welcomed many national and college teams to their Bishops Gate facility, it was a particular honor to welcome the St Andrews University golf team for a few days. Not only are the team from the “home of golf” but also the CEO of IJGA, Andrew Summers, went to St Andrews and was pleased to offer hospitality to the students. However, it didn’t extend to the match between their five boys and three girls and the IJGA team. Led by Tingwei Chang, who notably won Faldo US and Faldo Europe, and is going to University of Oregan, they prevailed over the St Andrews team 17 to 15, with the youngest member of the IJGA team, sophomore Ayana Hiranaka, beating the recent winner of the Scottish Woman’s Amateur to secure the victory. But on a perfect day, with the Bishops Gate course in great condition, all had fun. These are memories of a lifetime, and thank you to Tingwei, Takato Imoto, Gerado Gomez, Sebastian Gamboa, Victoria Renzi, Zoravar Singh Star, Hibiki Adachi and Ayana for representing IJGA so well.
