Two frequent visitors to IJGA have recently had historic successes. Sofia Essakali, a top junior golfer for Morocco, winning the ladies division at the Pan Arab Championship in Riyadh, Suadi Arabia, and powering her Morocco team to the golf medal. Sofía García, an Epson Tour Rookie from Paraguay, won the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
Because of our exceptional facilities and notable coaching team, IJGA hosts many visiting golfers throughout the year. Over Thanksgiving the Danish, Swiss and Irish national teams, made up of college golfers, came for a training camp. Team Ontario arrives this week and will return in February 2024 for their winter training camps. Over the Spring break we host a couple of US colleges.
Sofia Essakali and Sofía García are two of our most notable visitors, with Essakali enjoying the companionship of our students and Garcia working with Coach Julieta Granada on her short game skills.
