Hyo-Joon or Joon to us, came to IJGA Hilton Head in 2019. She was a quick learner and always had dreams of playing on the LPGA. As soon as Joon turned 18 she decided to turn pro and head to the LPGA Qualifying school Stage 1 in Palm Springs, California. Joon didn’t make it all the way to the final stage, however, she was able to secure a spot on the Epson Tour. The Epson tour is the Junior tour to the LPGA and if a player finishes in the top 10 on the money list they are able to secure full LPGA TOUR card the following season. That is exactly what Joon accomplished. As a rookie on the Epson tour she had 5 top 10 finishes and finished 9 times inside the top 20. These stats allowed Hyo Joon to make over $78,000 and finish 10th on the money list. It is very exciting to see her dreams come true and all the hard work and effort she put in pay off.
