IJGA Alumna Yana Wilson Captures First Epson Tour Win at Reliance Matrix Championship

Professional Breakthrough at Spanish Trail Country Club

IJGA alumna Yana Wilson earned her first professional victory on the Epson Tour, winning the Reliance Matrix Championship at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas. The 18-year-old rookie carded a final-round 68 to finish at 17-under-par, securing a two-shot win over Mohan Du.

A Promising Start to Her Pro Career

This was Wilson’s fifth career Epson Tour start since turning professional straight out of high school. Her rise has been swift and steady, making five consecutive cuts and securing three top-10 finishes in her rookie season.

The win not only qualifies her for the upcoming Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells Golf Resort, but also boosts her to 9th place in the Race for the Card standings. A top-10 finish by the end of the season would earn her full LPGA Tour status for 2026.

From IJGA to the Pros: A Story of Support and Success

Yana trained at International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) between October 2022 and March 2023. During that time, she competed in her first Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA), making the cut as the youngest player in the field.

In Spring 2024, former IJGA coach Matt Fields caddied for her at ANWA. Fields will officially rejoin the IJGA coaching staff in June 2025, returning more than a decade after his initial work with the academy.
