Andrew was born in Nigeria and grew up in South Africa, to missionary parents. However, he considers Edinburgh, Scotland, his home, and where he completed his high school education at the Edinburgh Academy. He then went to St Andrews University, also in Scotland, and obtained a BSc(Hons) degree, majoring in Math. He then attended Edinburgh University, Moray House, for a Diploma in Education and later attended Heriot Watt University, for a Diploma in Finance. Following these six years of tertiary education, Andrew spent three years training as an Accountant and obtained the Scottish qualification of Chartered Accountant.
After leaving Moray House and before Heriot Watt, Andrew spent a year teaching Math and Physics at Strathallan boarding school in Central Scotland. A few years later, after becoming a Chartered Accountant, Andrew was drawn into the London world of investment management, spending ten year between Morgan Grenfell and Morgan Stanley, before being one of the original founders of Silchester International Investors, which gained much success. In 2006 Andrew retired from the investment world and moved with his family to the United States, where his step-son attended a tennis academy, he and his wife created an equestrian academy for his step-daughter and in 2008 he co-founded a golf academy in Howey in the Hills, Florida where he was the CEO. In 2011 he purchased the Bishops Gate campus and developed it as a perfect campus for the junior golf academy, with large range, new golf course and student/staff housing. A few years later he purchased the International Junior Golf Academy, then based in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and as a result of the Covid epidemic, merged it with his Florida academy.
With his love of golf, respect and appreciation for education and passion for developing youth, Andrew has found his natural home, in the world of junior golf academy, which brings all three together perfectly.
