Romina Palmeros Claims First AJGA Victory at Sandridge Golf Club
Romina Palmeros earned her first AJGA championship at Sandridge Golf Club. After opening the tournament with a 74, Romina had a second-round 68 and secured the victory with a 70 in the final round for a 4-under par total.
Romina’s Strong Form Continues with Multiple International Wins
The AJGA win continues a strong run of form for Romina over the past six months. During that span, she has also captured victories at the Independent International Invitational in early May, the FMG Tournament in Tampico in April, and representing her country of Mexico, triumphed over USA and Canada in the Three Nations Cup in California in February. These results reflect the progress she has made in recent months and her continued development as a competitive player.
How IJGA Helped Romina Build Confidence to Close Tournaments

Since joining the program, she has seen significant improvements in her Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) ranking, World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), Handicap and overall tournament results, now having the confidence and game to close out tournaments.

Fellow IJGA Players Finish Strong at Sandridge
Fellow IJGA full-time student-athlete Cassy Zhu, from China, finished second, one shot behind at 3-under par, recovering from a first round 80 with a 65 and closing round 68. Kate Liang, a sister of alumni Leo and a regular visitor to IJGA, placed sixth.
