Since the inception of the Independent International Invitational (III) tournament in May 2024, IJGA golfers representing Montverde Academy in the first two years and this year as IJGA have won the event for the third year in a row.
The mixed team of Charlie Yoon, Ryo Murata, Romina Palmeros and Maria Pau Navarrete came from 13 strokes behind Deerfield after the first round to win by 12 strokes. Romina won the Girls individual title, with Maria Pau second, and KP tied for first for the Boys individual title, with a closing round bogey-free 7-under par, but lost in the playoff.

2026 Comeback Victory at III Event
The 2026 IJGA squad staged a dramatic comeback from 13 strokes back to claim the title by 12 strokes over Deerfield. Individual honors went to Romina Palmeros (Girls champion) and a strong showing by KP in the Boys division.

Back-to-Back Titles in 2024 and 2025
The success started in 2024 when IJGA students, representing Montverde Academy, won the inaugural team championship with a score of 13-over par, with their second team at 18-over par, both teams well ahead of Deerfield who finished 37-over par. Josh Hess won the Boys individual title and Zurich Kanokpornvasin won the Girls individual title.
In 2025, IJGA students again representing Montverde Academy were dominant, placing first and second. Ayana Hiranaka and Junxi Guo won the Girls individual titles at their respective venues, with Yukino Kudo and Cynthia Yang finishing second. Miguel Garcia came second in the Boys individual and Hung Le Khanh third.
