Sofia Cherif Essakali won the Woman’s title last year in the Pan-Arab games held in Saudi Arabia, leading her country Morocco to victory, impressive for a fourteen year old. Last week Sofia travelled to Tunisia and once again, now fifteen, won the Woman’s title and again led her country Morocco to victory. After an opening round of 67, which had her in the lead by 2 shots, in wet conditions Sofia managed a level par 72 in the second round and had her lead cut to 1 shot. But, as the true champion that she is, Sofia fired a final round 66 and won by 9 shots. Congratulations Sofia, so proud of you!
