In 2017, junior Petr Hruby joined the International Junior Golf Academy from the Czech Republic. Two years later, he was awarded a scholarship to play at University of Washington beginning in September of 2019.

In his four years at University of Washington, Petr had a distinguished career. He earned a notable achievement with one of the top ten Husky scoring averages of all time.

After a year on the PGA Tour Americas, Petr gained excellent experience honing his golf skills. He played and won the Second Stage of the Korn Ferry Q School in early December 2024, earning full status on the tour for 2025. Petr is the first Czech golfer to achieve this distinction.

Filip Jacubcik Earns Impressive Golf Victories

Following him from the Czech Republic was Filip Jacubcik, who joined IJGA’s golf training program in August 2021.  Upon graduating in 2023, Filip was awarded a scholarship to University of Arizona. He has been a standout player throughout his time in Arizona.

Filip won the Western Intercollegiate and was selected for the Palmer Cup. Currently, Filip is spending time back at Bishops Gate over the winter break while he prepares to represent Europe in the Bonallack Trophy in United Arab Emirates in early January 2025.  IJGA is sending Filip our best wishes for a wonderful tournament and another good season for University of Arizona in the spring.
