Perhaps the most fun golf event of the season, for both players and viewers, the PNC Championship father-son event served up fabulous entertainment. As a leading junior golf academy, IJGA kept a close eye on the event and celebrated the outcomes with our students and faculty.
The event had exciting results from the father-son participants who are among the best in the golfing world. Team Langer went head to head with Team Woods, both scoring 57’s and a total of 28 under par, bettering the previous record total of 27 under par by Team Daly in 2022.
A Legacy of Golf Excellence from This Year’s Participants
The PNC Championship is a time where family members can participate in golf together, sharing their skill and love of the game. Participants are champions who have showcased incredible talent.
The highlight of the event was Charlie Woods’s hole-in-one. This was his first, an amazing achievement to capture while playing with his dad on live television. Charlie’s sister, Sam Woods, was also caddying for their father, making it a great experience for the family.
IJGA Alumni Showcase Exceptional Skill at PNC Championship
We at IJGA were rooting for Team Daly and Team Duval, John Daly II was a student at IJGA for over four years. Brady Duval also attended for over two years. We’ve eagerly watched their games develop over the years.
As mentioned above, John won the PNC in 2022. Brady has now had successive close calls, coming in second place in 2023 and third place this year. Both golfers have achieved incredible golf skill. We look forward to seeing their performances at future events.
