IJGA student-athlete Joshua Hess, a member of the Swiss Junior National Team, has showcased exceptional talent and determination this season, culminating in a commanding victory at the notable Notah Begay III National Championship, held at Koasati Pines in Louisiana.
Facing a one-shot deficit with nine holes to play, Josh turned up the heat, delivering a phenomenal six-under-par performance on the back nine to secure a five-shot victory.

But the Notah Begay title is just one highlight in an extraordinary season. In May, Josh captured the II Copa Sureste title, a Golf Federation of Mexico event, showcasing his ability to excel in international competition.
Shortly after, he claimed victory at a Swiss Junior Golf Tour event in France, proving his mettle against Europe’s best.
Josh’s momentum didn’t stop there. In mid-October, he took home the IJGT Elite WAGR title, further solidifying his place as one of junior golf’s rising stars. And earlier this month, he added yet another prestigious trophy to his collection by winning the Optimist National Championship.

Adding a touch of fun to his success at the Notah Begay Championship, Josh also displayed his power by winning the Long Drive Contest during the practice round, unleashing an incredible 365-yard drive.
Congratulations to Joshua Hess on an unforgettable season of achievements. At IJGA, we aim to inspire excellence in our golf players and celebrate their success!
