On Thursday, January 11th Montverde Academy celebrated the success of their golf teams at the annual awards, with many students from IJGA being recognized for their contribution to their high school. The boys team had a good season, winning the Citrus League Championship for the first time in many years and were strong enough team to win states, but failed to advance to states with their weakest performance of the season being at regionals. The girls had a steady season, winning the inaugural Knights Invitational, but also failed to make states. However, Vicki Renzi, the team MVP for leading the team from the front all season, qualified for the states final and ended one shot behind the winner.
