Gerardo Gomez celebrated a wire-to-wire victory, winning individually and leading the Mexico Red Team. With scores of 67, 66, and 69, Gomez tied for first place in the prestigious America’s Cup.
Having only gained World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) status one year ago, Gerardo has broken into the top 1,000.
Gerardo also had good results in the Ping Invitational, narrowly losing in a playoff, came fourth in the Rolex Tournament of Champions, and was named an AJGA All-American.
