Our first group in the very first week of the Race to Scotland 2023 included student-golfer Hanna Chan, IJGA CEO Andrew Summers, Hanna’s sister Bess, and her mother Maggie. Hanna was also accompanied by IJGA golfers Peerapol Huangching, Aaron Lin, and Zoravar Singh Star.
Week one was perfectly timed, as it led up to Hanna’s birthday on May 23rd! The group celebrated by encouraging Hanna on the course, highlighted by her gaining 46 Stableford points on Gullane #1. This score took her into the lead for the last round on Renaissance.
Peerapol also got a taste of success and drew level with Hanna on hole 15, and then surged with a birdie, par, and par finish on the tough closing holes, which edged her out.
Aside from golf, other highlights of the trip included a visit to St Andrews and Edinburgh and climbing the North Berwick Law.
