This weekend, Team IJGA won the HJGT 2nd Annual Academy Cup! Coached by Stuart Morgan and Alex Puchales, Team IJGA consisted of Matej Malicek, Lino Galdin, Shiso Go, Aniruddh Kedlaya, Linda Trockel, Colton Tanner, Kanata Irei, Saptak Talwar, Ankita Kedlaya and Haruka Shintani.
After carding a collective 594 in round one, Team IJGA shaved off four strokes to post a 590 in round two, good for a 1184 tournament total and sole possession of first place!
Notable individual performances came from Linda Trockel, who finished third in the Girls 15-18 Division with a 2-under 142 tournament total and Lino Galdin, who tied for third in the Boys 15-18 Division with a 1-under 143 two-day total. Another tournament highlight came from Colton Tanner, who carded an eagle on the par-4 10th hole in the final round!
In other news, defending champion and IJGA alum Shanshan Feng earned second place in the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. She finished the tournament at 14-under! Fellow IJGA alum I.K. Kim tied for 10th with a 10-under tournament total.
