Introducing a newly renovated Village Café, the exclusive dining facility of the IJGA. Serving healthy, well-balanced meals daily, the café was designed to offer a welcoming environment for all students to unwind and enjoy meals with their friends and peers.
Student Life staff considers nutrition a priority. Menus are constantly evolving to include wholesome, balanced meals that fuel the students’ for physical or mental performance.
IJGA students in grades 7-12 live at our exclusive buildings at The Lakes at Myrtle Park complex in Bluffton, S.C. Spacious living quarters allow students to relax and feel at home. Each student will room with one other students for a maximum of six students per house depending on floor plan.
In addition, each unit has a living area, dining room, kitchen and washer-dryer units. Students have access to wireless internet access and cable television.
At IJGA, safety and security is our number one priority. With this in mind, new to IJGA student housing is the implementation of security gates. Added as a proactive level of security for our students, the gates are accessible via magnetic pass cards that are specific to each student or staff member.
Additionally, a staff member will occupy the Student Life office to ensure that all visitors are authorized guests. Questions about safety or security can be directed to Erin Elliott, Director of Student Life.
Residential Instructors provide supervision and guidance 7 days a week, providing a level of oversight similar to that of a home environment. Our Residential Instructors are a professional group coming from a variety of backgrounds and educational experiences. Parents are encouraged to remain in close contact with their child’s Residential Instructor throughout their stay.
A balanced social life is essential to a successful experience at IJGA. On the weekends, students have numerous options; beach, bike rides, tennis, horseback riding, sing karaoke, relax by the pool, or go on one of our many planned and supervised outings. Such recent outings have been trips to local shopping malls and outlets, jet skiing, paintball, World Golf Village and Hall of Fame, Orlando theme parks and much more.
“You become family with everyone.” – Matias “Thunder” Nelson, IJGA senior
