With spring break right around the corner, it’s easy to get lost in thinking about visiting family, eating home-cooked food, going to the beach or simply not having homework! Although it is vital to spend time getting some much-needed rest, it is also important to not lose sight of your responsibilities.
As you know, golf takes a lot of concentration and focus, so when your mind is elsewhere on the course, it is obvious. Nobody likes to hit their ball in the water because they were thinking about catching up on Stranger Things! Keeping your mind clear and focus on the task at hand.
It is easy to daydream while in school, but if you think about the coming break, things can start falling through the cracks. Before you leave for break make sure you tie up all the loose ends, meaning make sure you don’t leave anything left that you will have to end up doing the night before school starts. Once you have all your homework/projects/tests done you will feel so relieved knowing you don’t have anything left to do!
After coming back from break, it is easy to reminisce about being able to sleep until noon and not having a care in the world. It’s also easy to think about summer, and having all the free time you could want! While it’s okay to think about what lies ahead, it is also important to know your responsibilities and commitments. The last couple of months at the end of the spring semester are some of the most important months of the year, especially for seniors. It is a time filled with testing, college-prep and much more. Forgetting all of these things can be devastating for your grades and possibly your future. You wouldn’t want to risk it just because you’re daydreaming all day!
Remember, it is important to remember your duties and responsibilities and it is equally as important to fulfill all of your duties and responsibilities. Finding the perfect balance between the two will definitely make you successful and happy in the future.
