Manuel Villegas began working with Kevin Smeltz, IJGA Director of Instruction, when he was a sophomore at the University of Florida. Flash forward years later and the Tour rookie has experienced noteworthy success in his golf game.

At the Tour’s Brasil Champions event presented by HSBC on March 16, 2014, the rookie carded a 67 or better in all four rounds, placing him in fourth for the tournament. The top-five finish will be added to his efforts towards securing a 2015 PGA TOUR card at the conclusion of the season. The 28-year old currently ranks eighth among THE 25 who will be awarded a PGA TOUR card and has graduated from the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica.

Congratulations to Manuel on behalf of Kevin and the entire IJGA community on his continued success!
