IJGA alumni, IK Kim, got the ultimate redemption Sunday, August 6th at the Ricoh Women’s British Open to claim her first major title.
Five years ago, Kim lipped out just about a one-foot putt that would have won her the Kraft Nabisco Championship, and unfortunately ended up losing in a playoff. While some golfers would have let that memory slip back into their mind with the lead in another major, Kim seemed to have completely risen above the whole experience and cruised to an 18 under par total and two shot victory at the Kingsbarns Golf Links.
This victory for Kim is number three in 2017, which is turning into one of her best years on tour. Now ranked 9th in the Rolex World Rankings, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for Kim.
