IJGA alumnus, A.J. Correia shines at Lonnie Barton Invitational

IJGA alumnus, A.J. Correia shines at Lonnie Barton Invitational

March 13, 2014Alumni NewsAdmin

IJGA alum and 2012-2013 post-graduate student, A.J. Correia of Bedford, N.H., notched his best tournament finish in his freshmen year at the Lonnie Barton Invitational at LPGA International on March 10-11, 2014. Correia, who competes for Sacred Heart University posted rounds of 73-78 to finish in seventh place. It was his best finish in four starts in his freshmen campaign. The next tournament for the Sacred Heart Pioneers is the Whiting Turner Towson Invitational on March 30-April 1.

In his time as a post-graduate at the IJGA, Correia worked extremely hard to fine tune his skills on the golf course to prepare for college golf. After being under the direction of the great instructors and trainers at the IJGA for a year, his hard work and dedication earned him a scholarship at Sacred Heart University. We wish A.J. the best of luck in his future tournaments with Sacred Heart University.
