IJGA coach, Fred Griffin, is widely recognized for his coaching ability and passion for the game of golf. He’s been awarded as a Golf Magazine Top 100 teacher, North Florida PGA Section Teacher of the Year, PGA National Finalist Teacher of the Year, and Golf Digest’s America’s 50 Greatest Teachers. Some of his most notable students include Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Payne Stewart, Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Liselotte Neuman, In Gee Chun, Amy Yang, and Jihee Lee. Fred worked with CompuSport and provided his knowledge of golf to create the first science-based curriculum program based on high-speed video and computer graphics in golf instruction. Along with this, he’s made his vast knowledge of golf available through the publication of his book, Swing Like a Pro. When Fred isn’t coaching, he’s hunting, fishing, working out, and spending time with his family.  What’s your greatest asset/area of expertise?  Being able to look at golf differently by mixing in biomechanics with the traditional teaching of the game. Many years of experience in coaching, certifications, and publications.  What’s your favorite part of working at IJGA?  Sharing my passion for golf with the students at IJGA.
