Craig Callens is a highly accomplished golf coach and operations leader, with a career rooted in competitive golf and instructional excellence. His junior career began in Northern California, in Eureka, where he quickly rose to prominence, securing numerous tournament victories and earning all-county honors each year in high school.

Craig went on to play Division 1 golf at Sacramento State, where he studied kinesiology, and later competed as a mini-tour professional from 2002 to 2004. Over his career, he has achieved several professional victories and competed in the PGA National Club Professional Championship four times, with a best finish of T-16 in 2019.

In 2006, Craig launched his coaching career as the Head Golf Coach at Shepherd University, a position he held for three seasons before transitioning into golf operations at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida—ranked as the #2 best community in the U.S. In 2013, he became a PGA member and accepted the role of Head Professional at the Country Club of Virginia, one of the nation’s top private clubs. He then advanced to Director of Golf at Hermitage Country Club in 2017.

In 2023, Craig shifted his focus to youth golf instruction, moving with his family to Florida to join IJGA. Supported by his wife, Nana, and their sons, Ben (12) and Oliver (1), Craig leverages his operational and coaching expertise to elevate the golf experience for high school-aged athletes at Bishops Gate, fostering growth, discipline, and a passion for the game.
