BGGA Camper Jose Antonio Haces (Puebla, Mexico) captured the title in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 Division as he totaled -9 through the thirty-six holes. He led his playing field with the most birdies (10) and the lowest scoring average (67.5). Second-place finisher Morgan Tournemire of Delray Beach, Florida completed the two-day tournament at -5. Third-place finisher Pablito Saenz Avila of Bogota, Colombia made 144 strokes to finish E.
Jose, who is ranked #9 in the Federación Mexicana de Golf (FMGO), came to BGGA for several weeks of summer camp to train with BGGA coaching and performance team to prepare for the tournament.
The two-day, thirty-six-hole course held at Disney’s World Resort – Magnolia consisted of players from all six of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour divisions including the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 Division, Will Smith Boys 14-15 Division, Ernie Els Boys 11-13 Division, Bryson DeChambeau Boys U10 Division, Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division, and the Justin Rose Girls U13 Division.
