Bishops Gate Golf Academy alum Dominik Rega has been making headlines recently as he and his business partner Cameron Flotow have developed an application that brings communities and social networking opportunities together.
The app is called Brite and can be described as a social network for everyone within the same city or community to share pictures, videos, texts, etc.
Flotow described the app to ABC 15 News as, “Making it to where everyone within a 10 mile radius can communicate. So you can post pictures, videos, text statuses but also music we think of the idea as like community networking.”
Rega attends Coker College where he met Flotow and in an entrepreneurship class and wanted to bring Flotow’s idea of Brite to life.
“As he was talking and explaining the idea I realized that he had the same passion for it,” Rega said to ABC 15 News.
The two launched a crowdfunding campaign on May 10 on Indigogo.com to raise $100,000 so they could hire computer programmers and graphic designers to develop the app.
Rega, who hails from the Czech Republic, spent a year at BGGA before attending Coker College. Rega will join the men’s golf team this fall after having to sit out a year because of NCAA eligibility rules.
