Assessment and Blueprinting

IJGA Golf Coach
To become a successful golfer in the modern era, players must be realistic about their golf. Understanding where your current skill levels are is vital to be able to create a clear and concise plan of action that will help you raise those skills levels.
Within the IJGA golf program, we conduct vigorous assessments for each and every student. The purpose is to gather measurable data which is based on factual, reliable information. We cover the full swing by filming the swing from multiple angles.
We use the Swing Catalyst 3D Motion Plate & Performance Studio to gather ground pressure forces. Our 3D Motion Plate capture capabilities act as an MRI scan of your body during a golf swing. The suitability of your clubs are assessed to ascertain if any improvements could be made.
TrackMan is utilized to give accurate club and ball flight data that gives information on precisely what the ball is doing.
Physical screening highlights any limitations movement within the body. Any limitation is clearly seen within the golf swing. Corrective exercises are given at the blueprinting stage to correct and improve these range of motions.
Mental Performance is a vital part of any development, as this will determine your success within any swing changes given.
The combination of these assessments allows the coaching team to collaborate and create a highly personalised Blueprint.
This blueprint is the basis for any improvements that will be made. The blueprint is delivered to the player and between the player and the coaches, goals that are both challenging and attainable are set, which help to motivate players. You can measure progress at different stages throughout training. The ability to measure progress is important, as it gives undeniable information on the progress being made by you, the player.
