Over the weekend, many International Junior Golf Academy students competed locally in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Hilton Head Junior Shootout. The two-day, 36-hole event was held at Island West Golf Club on March 19-20, 2016.
Arjun Puri of New Delhi, India fired a 3-under 69 in the final round to finish with a 1-over 145 tournament total. He finished second in the Boys 16-18 Division, just one stroke off the lead. Puri carded five birdies during the second round. Brock Erwin (4th), Saptak Talwar (5th), Colton Tanner (T7), Santiago Diaz (T7) and Ray Ahn (T7) also finished in the Top 10 in the Boys 16-18 Division.
Ankita Kedlaya of Bangalore, India, tied for second in the Girls Division, just two strokes off the lead. Linda Trockel (T5), Melany Chong (T5) and Angela Aung (8th) also finished in the Top 10.

Gerardo Ruiz tied for 19th in the Lexus Panama Classic. The PGA Tour LatinoAmerica event was hosted at Buenaventura Golf Club in Rio Hato, Panama, on March 17-20, 2016.
Laura Restrepo (Louisville), Nat Zeng (Wisconsin) and Pear Siriko (Indiana) are currently competing against each other in the Briar’s Creek Invitational. Restrepo fired a 4-under 68 in round one to find herself tied for first heading into the second round. The tournament is being played at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, SC., on March 21-22, 2016.
Shanshan Feng tied for 28th in the JTBC Founders Cup. The LPGA tournament was hosted in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 17-20, 2016. She fired a bogey-free 6-under 66 in round two.
