Top Finishes Highlight the Weekend for BGGA Students

 

BGGA students found success on the course this past weekend as they recorded top finishes on several different tours.

A large group of students traveled to Hilton Head Island, SC to play in the IJGT South Carolina Open. Adam Podkonicky brought home the first-place trophy in the Boys 15-19 Division.

Podkonicky recorded rounds of 69 and 70 to finished at 5 under, four shots ahead of the field. Fellow BGGA student Jack Crawshaw finished second with a 1 under 143 after rounds of 74 and 69. Rounding out the top 3 was BGGA Post Grad student Branimir Nikolich at 1 over.

In the Girls Division, Ying-Ting Hsieh took fifth place with a 150=72-78 (+6).

Over on the West coast of Florida, two BGGA students placed in the top 10 at the AJGA Preview at Innisbrook. Claire Jeon finished T4 in the Girls Division with rounds of 79 and 78. John Daly II finished T8 in the Boys Division with rounds of 78 and 73.

That wasn’t BGGA’s only win this weekend. Julian Perico played for Peru in the South American Junior and he won the team and individual event. While down in West Palm Beach, Fla., Jeffrey Wu and Francis Li played for Team China and defeated Team USA 1 up in the Golf Ball Diplomacy Duel at Trump International Golf Club.
