IJGA alumnus, Richy Werenski of South Hadley, Mass., advanced to Episode Four of Golf Channel’s Big Break The Palm Beaches, FL. Werenski earned “immunity” or a guaranteed trip to the next show, early on in the episode. The challenge included a golf component, as well as an element of strategy.
Each contestant was paired up against another player for a closest-to-the-pin contest. The winner in each individual match earned five points. At the same time, all the players were tested on how well they knew their fellow competitors by having to choose which person would win the closest-to-the-pin contest. If they choose correctly, they earned two points. At the end of the competition, the four people with the highest point totals would win immunity.
Werenski ended the competition tied with the most points at 13, and earned the sought after immunity from elimination.
