IJGA student, Kobdech Rodrat of Bangkok, Thailand, won the Carolinas Junior PGA Championship in the Boys 13-15 Division with a tournament score of 4-under-par 140. He was very consistent both days at the Hackler Golf Course in Conway, S.C., firing two rounds of 2-under-par 70. After regulation he was tied with Patrick Golden, but Rodrat was named the champion via a scorecard playoff. This also gave him second place in the Overall Boys Division, which included boys ages 13-18.
In the Girls 16-18 Division, IJGA student, Cake Phuchanbanchob of Chiang Mai, Thailand, finished in second place after a solid tournament total of 2-over-par 146. The highlight of her tournament was her final-round even-par 72 that included three birdies.
Sera Tadokoro of Osaka, Japan, took second place in the Girls 13-15 Division finishing with a tournament total of 156. She ended the tournament on a strong note firing a 3-over-par 75 to jump up the leaderboard.
